Topic - The Future of Litter: From ‘Emerald Isle’ to ‘Destination Detritus’….. the roads into and out of most Irish towns and villages now lie strewn with soda cans, food wrappers, plastic bottles and the like. It can take hundreds of years for certain types of plastics for example to degrade in the natural environment so as the commonest of all litter we see, it is going to be an eye sore for many generations to come. Public service advertisements call out to the conscience of miscreants to desist from the practice, and penalties are meant to discourage people from fouling up our hedgerows and streets, but nothing seems to work.  Read More....
